Pernod Pastis Anise holds the distinguished title of being the oldest anise liqueur in France. Crafted from the finest distillates of star anise, fennel, and a unique blend of 14 botanicals including coriander and mint, Pernod stands out from other pastis due to its notably low liquorice content. Originally produced as absinthe in 1805, the Pernod we know today was first created in 1938, with a reformulated absinthe based on the original recipe introduced in 2005.
