Angostura 1919® is a rum with a fascinating backstory. In 1932, after a devastating fire, hundreds of charred rum-filled casks were discovered at Trinidad's Government Rum Bond. These casks had been filled in 1919 and had been aging for 13 years.

Named after the year it was casked, Angostura 1919® is a light golden rum aged in charred, previously used bourbon oak casks and distilled in Angostura's multi-column continuous still. The rum was crafted using the unique blending techniques developed by the Fernandes family in the 1800s, which were salvaged from the charred casks after the 1932 fire.

Angostura 1919® is an impressive blend of rums aged between 5 and 14 years, making it a true Trinidadian rum. Its flavor profile is oaky, accompanied by exotic spices, vanilla, a hint of honey, and dried fruits.
